The Artisan Kitchen is a farm-to-table kitchen crafting scratch food in small batches using seasonal ingredients from local farms and orchards. We also forage for and grow some of our own ingredients and incorporate our artisan products, as well as others, into our globally influenced weekly and monthly menus. The Artisan Kitchen rarely repeats – and is known for its spontaneity!

We invite guests to enjoy the Artisan Kitchen in several ways including Monthly Artisan Dinners around a small community table, Artisan Lunch for grab and go or eat in, Bistro Nights with a seasonal small bistro restaurant menu, and our popular “Chefs Choice” Artisan Breakfast on Saturday morning. We love to host private parties in the Mercantile or provide chef services for your exclusive event and you can find our artisan products at several local businesses. A commitment to exceptional quality is evident in the fresh ingredients that we source, the customer service we provide, and the overall aesthetics of the food experience – every detail matters.

From Chicken-n-waffles to Fancy Toast and Breakfast Pizza~our single savory Chef’s Choice breakfast feature never disappoints. Enjoy our seasonal house-made granola parfait, incredible muffins, or almost famous coffeecake (when available) and a cup of coffee or tea – or ask us about the Shrubmosa!
Bistro Nights at BHM!
Join us for Friday night “pop ups”
Bistro Nights at Brick House Mercantile happen on Friday's. We “pop-up” a small bistro-style menu every other Friday with a great craft beer and wine selection, seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails, and a relaxed and cozy dining atmosphere - the perfect night out! Artisan Dinners
A Chef Curated Seasonal Menu
Held multiple times monthly, these intimate dinners around the Mercantile farmhouse table offer an exquisite multi-course chef-curated 2-hour interactive dining experience often referred to as a cross between fine dining and attending a great dinner party! The event is limited to 12 guests that will share a bond over food - "we will break bread and be friends" at our community table. You can buy one ticket or twelve, but when they are gone - they are gone until the next time - and each dinner is a unique experience.

The Chef curated seasonal menu is prix fixe - and the "set price" varies by menu. Two beverages (wine, beer, or NA cocktails), coffee, tea, and Port (when available) are included.

We use organic seasonal produce from regional farms and orchards - as available - and couple it with culinary creativity and artistic flare - bringing you a beautiful and delicious experience you will soon not forget. You will interact with Chef Bahr and the entire Artisan Kitchen team as we share our love for good food, conversation, and community!
